Fog Postcard News

December 20, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I printed off half a dozen postcards and took the day off work today to sell them. Standing outside Taplow station between 5:00 and 6:30 this morning proved fruitless, so I decided to access the station platform system via the booking office. I bought a platform ticket and decided to start selling on the London bound platform. By lunchtime I’d sold four cards at a price of 50 pence each, which came to a total of two pounds sterling, and decided to go home. I was going to head back in the evening to the Reading bound platform to catch the rush coming back, but it was too cold.

I’ve printed another twenty postcards to sell over the Christmas period. I wouldn’t mormally take such risks, but the weather forecast provided by the BBC shows that further rich pickings should be available over the coming few days.
